Helpful Hints for a Healthy Sleep

  • Get enough sleep: ages 6-13 need 9-11hrs; ages 14-17 need 8-10hrs; adults need 7-9hrs.

  • Set a consistent sleep schedule: go to bed at the same time and wake up at the same time.

  • Get regular exercise.

  • Keep a healthy diet - do not eat meals just before bedtime; a snack is fine however.

  • Avoid caffeine after dinner.

  • Avoid naps - if you need to take one keep it less than 30mins.

  • Avoid excessive alcohol.
